Description

A timed two-arm hang that develops grip tolerance and comfort supporting bodyweight from a secure pull-up bar.

Setup & Execution

  1. Use a secure bar you can reach without jumping dangerously and take a comfortable overhand grip.
  2. Step from support into a two-arm hang with long elbows and the feet clear or lightly assisted as planned.
  3. Keep the grip closed, the neck relaxed, and the trunk quiet while breathing normally.
  4. Return both feet to the support before grip fails; do not drop from height.

Coaching Cues

  • Keep every finger wrapped.
  • Let the neck stay long.
  • Step down before your grip opens.

Common Mistakes

  • Using an unstable or sharp-edged bar.
  • Hanging through shoulder pain or numbness.
  • Training to an uncontrolled grip failure.
