Description

A controlled horizontal push using dumbbells. Start with a manageable load and repeatable technique.

Setup & Execution

  1. Lie on the floor with knees bent and manageable dumbbells held over the chest.
  2. Lower until the upper arms gently contact the floor with elbows slightly tucked.
  3. Press smoothly without bouncing or arching the lower back.

Coaching Cues

  • Start light and keep each repetition controlled.
  • Stop if the movement causes pain.

Common Mistakes

  • Using too much load before learning the movement.
  • Rushing through the return phase.
