Description

A controlled hinge using kettlebells. Start with a manageable load and repeatable technique.

Setup & Execution

  1. Place a manageable kettlebell between the feet; elevate it on a stable platform if needed.
  2. Hinge at the hips with softly bent knees and grasp the handle.
  3. Stand tall with the weight close, then lower it under control.

Coaching Cues

  • Start light and keep each repetition controlled.
  • Stop if the movement causes pain.

Common Mistakes

  • Using too much load before learning the movement.
  • Rushing through the return phase.
