Description

A unilateral bridge progression that increases hip-extension demand and challenges pelvic control without external load.

Setup & Execution

  1. Lie on your back with one foot planted beneath its knee and the opposite hip and knee comfortably bent.
  2. Brace and keep both sides of the pelvis level before lifting.
  3. Drive through the planted foot to extend the hip without rotating or arching the trunk.
  4. Pause briefly, lower with control, and complete the planned work before changing sides.

Coaching Cues

  • Keep your belt line level.
  • Push through the planted foot.
  • Use the glute to finish.

Common Mistakes

  • Twisting toward the working side.
  • Overarching for extra height.
  • Placing the working foot too far from the hip.
