Description

A controlled squat using cables machines. Start with a manageable load and repeatable technique.

Setup & Execution

  1. Set the safety stops and practise unlocking and reracking the unloaded guided bar.
  2. Lower through a comfortable squat depth with feet positioned for the machine path.
  3. Stand smoothly, then securely rerack the bar.

Coaching Cues

  • Start light and keep each repetition controlled.
  • Stop if the movement causes pain.

Common Mistakes

  • Using too much load before learning the movement.
  • Rushing through the return phase.
