Description

A steady aerobic session performed at a sustainable intensity that develops endurance, movement economy, and the ability to recover while continuing to work.

Setup & Execution

  1. Choose the modality prescribed in the Mission SOP and begin with an easy progressive warm-up.
  2. Settle into a pace that keeps breathing controlled and allows short conversational sentences.
  3. Maintain smooth mechanics and even effort rather than chasing speed, distance, or calorie totals.
  4. Reduce intensity for a brief cooldown before stopping.

Coaching Cues

  • Start easier than you think.
  • Hold a steady, conversational effort.
  • Let duration—not intensity—do the work.

Common Mistakes

  • Drifting into tempo or threshold intensity.
  • Starting too fast and fading.
  • Ignoring terrain, heat, or fatigue when selecting pace.
